Swedish Super Chef and Cookbook Author Marcus Samuelsson achieved a life dream by opening Red Rooster, an American Cuisine Restaurant located in the heart of Harlem. Samuelsson, who has served as a judge on Food Network’s Chopped and Iron Chef will host a three course meal at Red Rooster, focusing his course on the celebration of local farmers and artisanal food makers while showcasing the spirit of Harlem’s vibrant present and roaring past. Joining him in the kitchen is Chef Andrea Reusing from the award-winning Lantern in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Reusing’s restaurant, nationally renowned for its Farm-To-Table efforts, was named one of "America's 50 Most Amazing Wine Experiences” by Food & Wine Magazine. For the finale, dinners will enjoy a lavish dessert by Chef Hedy Goldsmith, from Michael’s Genuine Food & Drink in Miami, Florida. Goldsmith is experiencing national acclaim as her desserts were featured on Food Network’s The Best Thing I Ever Ate and she is in the process of writing her first cookbook. Together, Marcus, Andrea, and Hedy make a kitchen that is overflowing with warmth, fresh ingredients, and incredibly innovative recipes.
