Before the term celebrity chef existed there were culinary pioneers such as David Bouley. In the 1990’s, his namesake restaurant Bouley in TriBeca was a hotbed for edible innovation. He snagged a two Michelin Star Rating and four stars from the New York Times all the while whisking to the beat of his own batter. Bouley went on to open other hugely successful and forward thinking restaurants including his latest NYC gem, brushstroke—a collaboration with Tsuji Culinary Institute in Osaka to share Japanese food culture and products at the highest level while integrating American ingredients. Throughout his career Bouley never stopped inventing. Tonight, in a special treat, Bouley is welcoming guests into the Bouley Test Kitchen, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to catch a rare glimpse into the culinary mind of a man with no boundaries in the cook’s room. This intimate dinner is like none-other in the Festival’s lineup and is the perfect opportunity for any true food connoisseur to get up close and personal with a living legend.
